Back After 15 Years! Nike Kobe 4 Protro 'Gold Medal' In Depth Review and On Feet.
In 2008 Kobe Bryant played in his first Olympics, leading the United States to the gold medal while remaining undefeated. Even though Kobe wore the Hyperdunks during the tournament, Nike released a Kobe 4 colorway in 2009 to celebrate his gold medal achievements. 15 years later Nike is bringing back this colorway and I couldn't be more excited. The Kobe 4 Protro 'Gold Medal' is releasing on August 6 for $190 in the United States.
Check out my in depth review including colorway, materials, details, cushioning, sizing, comfort and fit. On feet footage included!
TOE TO TOE: Kobe 4 Protro ‘Philly’ vs Kobe 6 Protro ‘Reverse Grinch’!
Kobe Bryant has one of the most successful signature shoes and recently we've seen a lot of Kobe Protros (Performance Retros). Two of my favorites have been the Kobe 6 Protro 'Reverse Grinch' and the return of the Kobe 4 Protro 'Philly'.
I put these two sneakers toe to toe, compare them according to four metrics - colorway, cushioning, traction, support and lockdown and pick one shoe that I'd choose if I had to.
